I encourage all of you to contact the NRA, your congress person, and your senator and demand that they legislate gun control to stop all this senseless violence.
Email them today. I know people say it is disrespectful to talk about it today. But what is more disrespectful is letting this happen again. If these children had to die, let it be for a reason. Let it be the last tragic shooting or at least the one that changed our laws forever.
Today we lost 20 children, because we have not done anything to stop these shootings.
We need better screening on gun purchasers and we need to out law these guns that can shoot so many bullets so quickly. Further, we as a country need to do something more about caring for our mentally ill.
Columbine was almost 15 years ago and it is shameful that almost nothing has changed in our gun control laws in that time.

AMC's Mad Men Returns April 7th
To contact us Click HERE

Finally, word yesterday that Mad Men will return April 7th to AMC with a two hour special. Looking forward to finding out what all this Inferno business is about or what new circle of hell Don has made for himself. What do you think the odds are Roger Sterling will have gone full bore psychedelic. All these years we thought we'd get to see Don in crazy 60's wear, it'd be just like Weiner, to bait and switch us with Roger.
There were so many things left open at the end of last season. Peggy in here new position at a new firm. Pete getting his city apartment. Joan doing what it took to become a partner. Don getting Megan the part in the commercial and then going to the bar and possibly returning to his old cheating ways. Can't wait to see where they are all at.
Just a few more months and we can all relax into a smoke filled room and find out what all our Madison Avenue friends have been up to. Is it crazy I still hold out hope for Joan and Roger??? Don't answer that.
AMC just posted some picture from Season 6 looks like psychedelic Roger is out.

Grauman's Chinese Theatre Meme Monday

Life is long and I'm not always doing it right, but sometimes amazing things happen. Like this day I got to pose next to Kim Novak's hand and foot print cement at Grauman's. Going to South Africa next week is definitely something that will help make living this one life enough. Of course being a daughter, sister, wife and mother do that everyday.
Here's to making once enough!

Africa, You Can't Come Just Once
To contact us Click HERE

I have been saying for a year how this trip to South Africa was a once in a lifetime trip. Well, I lied, I don't care what I have to do I will definitely be coming back many times. Once, is not enough. (Is that a James Bond movie?) For 3 days we got on the safari truck at 5:30 am and 4 pm and in the beautiful lighting of the early morning and late afternoon and came so close to some of the worlds most beautiful and strange creatures. This must be what heroine is like. I can not get enough.

Just look at this video. Where our safari truck driver is forced to face off with a gigantic elephant bull, who could throw us around like a rag doll should he take it in his mind to do so. I actually know what it's like to be completely speechless now. Sorry for the footage at the end, of the floor of the truck, I think my husband, who was filming, was in shock and forgot what he was doing.
I think the child asking the questions at the beginning was saying what we were all thinking.

Apart from the animals I really should give credit to the staff at Madikwe Safari Lodge, for making our trip so off the charts incredible. Everyone from the safari guides to the maid service was so kind and accommodating. They are all working 24/7 but appear to be having the best time ever and if there was one more thing they could do to make your stay better they'rewere happy to do it. I'm not exaggerating.
Our two safari guides, Billy and Andre were just incredible. Andre did 90% of the drives with the children aboard, and he was so sweet with them. He was like a favorite uncle who makes everything seem cool and fascinating. He was also very patient with them when attentions would wane or fatigue would set in. Billy was amazing at tracking and he would take time to show us how he did it. He was also very serious about preservation to the point of driving around bug, of which there are many. Both were extremely knowledgeable about all things safari.
At one point it looked like we would have to get transportation to come to Cape Town at two in the morning and they were all, at least outwardly, happy to get up in the middle of the night to drive us and feed us and basically try to make it as painless as possible. Thankfully that disaster was averted.
I really can't say enough nice things about these people. Hope to see them all again very soon!

Call The Midwife Holiday Special On PBS
To contact us Click HERE

Very excited to tell you that Call The Midwife will be airing a holiday special on PBS on December 30th. Check your local listings for time. And if that weren't good enough news, Call the Midwife will be returning to PBS for a second season March 13th!
I was a bit worried that Chummy would be written out of the show with her marriage, but she is definitely in the holiday special, so there is hope she will continue on in season two. I also have fingers crossed that Sister Bernadette will have more scenes about here struggle with life as a nun. Is it wrong to want to see her ditch the habit???
I will be glued to this holiday special and waiting, not too patiently for season two.
